Sitting in chairs for long periods of time has taken a toil on our bodies. But the physical challenge of sitting is not only to blame! We know that our bodies reflect what we are thinking and feeling. But what we may not always realize is that a change in the body’s posture to a more “correct” alignment can affect the way you feel and think. Stand up straight, walk tall, and you will be calmer, more relaxed, and more physically and mentally stable.
Many spine problems are due to poor posture. Abnormal stress over time can lead to structural changes including degeneration of the disks and joints. Postural corrections can help reduce neck, shoulder, and back pain.
Energetically, the prank, or life force in the body cannot flow freely when the body is collapsed. Good posture allows the body’s energy channels to open to received the flow prank. The result: you have more energy during your day! Learn what’s happening in the body with postural shifts and emotional challenges, and how to incorporate Yoga practices and new habits of pattern to create a body with healthy, happy posture!
