TYI is adding two classes to our current schedule.
Starting Tuesday, February 11th, Chair Yoga will be offered by Mary Schwarz, 12:30PM – 1:30PM.
This class is gentle form of Yoga that can be practiced sitting down or standing using the chair for support. This class is perfect for the student that cannot get up and down off the floor or cannot stand for long periods of time. This class will focus on practices that help improve flexibility, strength, and balalnce. This class will also intoduce breathing practices, meditation, and relaxation techniques. Poses are modified with a chair for balance or performed seated. All students are welcome!
Starting Wednesday, February 12th, a second Yoga Basics for Beginners will be offered by Terri Feil, 5:30PM – 6:30PM.
This class gives students that enjoy the Monday night class at 6:45PM an opportunity to attend a second class during the week or new students another option for this class.
Yoga Basics offers all the basic foundational Yoga poses for beginner level students, how the pose should be aligned well with the body for the maximal benefits, how to practice the poses safely, how to breathe properly in the poses, and much more! All students are welcome!
