The weekend schedule is:
This workshop will teach you how to use yoga to safely align, stretch and strengthen your hips while simultaneously stabilizing your sacroiliac joints. Using her experience from her studies with BKS Iyengar, Elise discusses how to safely move in yoga asanas without destabilizing the SI joint. She will offer adaptations for those who have physical challenges. All levels.
This workshop will build on Elise’s previous teachings either in person, zooming or from her books/DVD’s. It will serve as a refresher for both yoga students and teachers on the fundamental principles of how to use Yoga when living with scoliosis, to improve posture, counter your asymmetrical curve(s) by lengthening and de-rotating and relieving pain. The morning class will include standing poses, back strengtheners, backbends, and twists. The afternoon will focus on inversions, forward bends, restoratives and pranayama – breathing techniques. All levels.
In today’s world with post pandemic fatigue and the feelings of being overwhelmed from life challenges such as our work and other activities, we can feel like we are off balance and simply headed toward our “edge.” Yoga offers us a lot of tools to help us during this time! This general practice session will include standing poses, inversions, twists, forward bends and balancing poses. All levels.
