Terry Brown will present this workshop, “Detoxing the Body with Twists”, on Saturday, March 22nd, 1:00PM – 4:00PM.
A regular practice of yoga poses, breathing exercises and meditation can be incredibly beneficial for your overall wellbeing and can help your body naturally detoxify itself. Yoga stimulates the circulatory and lymphatic systems, which can help to flush out toxins and waste products from the body. Specific yoga poses, such as twists and inversions, can also help to stimulate the internal organs and promote detoxification.
Twist poses offer an excellent massage to the digestive organs which promote a healthy gut and eliminate harmful toxics from the body. The liver and kidneys, the organs responsible for filtering toxins from the blood, are also stimulated. Other practices such as gentle inversions and backbends can also help with detoxification.
Breathing techniques help to oxygenate the blood and increase circulation which aids in the removal of toxins. Meditation can also be a power tool for detoxification as it helps to reduce stress which can interfere with the body’s natural ability to detoxify.
This workshop will present many of the practices of asana, pranayama, and meditation that we can use to help us detox our body and help to feel more vibrant and alive!
